Albemarle Tech: The Center for Creativity and Invention is a high school student center and academic program operated by Albemarle County Public Schools. It is housed in 42,000 square feet of leased space in the former Comdial building in Seminole Place.

The concept for Albemarle Tech emerged from the Albemarle's High School 2022 initative. In December 2017, the Albemarle County School Board accepted a consultant’s recommendation to construct multiple satellite centers devoted to project-based learning and work experiences for high school students. Albemarle Tech will pilot the strategy before the planned construction of a 600-student high school center before the 2021-2022 school year.

Albemarle Tech opened in August 2018 with an inaugural class of about 20 high school seniors. Its enrollment is expected to grow to 150 students over several years.
