The Albemarle County Democratic Committee [1]is the organizing body of the Albemarle County Democratic Party. The committee supports candidates by raising funds, raising visibility, and working to get Democratic candidates elected.

The Steering Committee [2] consists of a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Counsel, Parliamentarian, two Outreach Chairs, and District Chairs representing the six magisterial districts in the county.

In 2010, the Albemarle Committee was a finalist for "Committee of the Year" of the Democratic Party of Virginia [3].

The current Chair of the Committee is Valerie L'Herrou. The immediate past chair is Fred Hudson, [[4]] Chair of the Fifth District Democratic Committee, and Second Vice-Chair of the Democratic Party of Virginia. Taylor Beard and Will Harvey preceded Fred Hudson as Chairs.
