The Albemarle-Charlottesville Jail Authority Board is an 11-member body that sets policies for the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail. [1]

Membership

Membership consists of 11 members, made up of three sheriffs, one member from the Charlottesville City Council, one member of the Albemarle Board of Supervisors, City Manager, County Executive Tom Foley two private citizens of both the city and county, one joint member and the Nelson County Administrator. Meetings are on the second Thursday of each month at the jail.

City Councilor Kristin Szakos was the chair in 2013. (refer to Membership of the Charlottesville City Council for current City Council Committee assignments)
