The 5th & Avon Community Advisory Committee is charged with advising the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors on matters related to the southern growth area. [1]

The group met for the first time on November 30, 2015. [2]

2019

In the spring of 2019, some members of the group expressed interested in calling for the Albemarle Department of Community Development to conduct a small area plan for the area. The draft was discussed in meeting but never adopted.
