Elections for Charlottesville City Council were held in 1948. Three of five seats were up for election. The general election was held on June 8, 1948. [1]


Democratic Primary

The Democratic primary was scheduled for April 6, 1948.

Fred L. Watson announced in late January he would not seek re-election. [2] Incumbents J. Emmett Gleason and Charles P. Nash also opted not to run.
