The Virginia Radio Coop is a non-profit group that operates seven lower power FM stations in Charlottesville and Central Virginia region. The operations for several of the stations are located in a common studio in Seminole Square Shopping Center. [1]
Each station has its own board of directors.
Underwriting announcements are handled by the ad agency Experience Media or by individual stations.
Each station is authorized for a power level of 100 Watts at 30 meters at a 100 foot antenna elevation or its equivalent by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
