Background

The firm was hired by both communities as consultants for major projects at the turn of the century. THey worked with RLCLO and LPDA on the Charlottesville Commercial Corridor Study.

Charlottesville hired the firm to produce a corridor study that informed a rezoning in 2003 which upzoned many properties. [1]

Albemarle County hired the firm to study the potential of mixed-use zoning to promote walkability in a process called the Development Area Initiatives Study. [2] That resulted in the Neighborhood Model District zoning being adopted by the Board of Supervisors.
