- 1902 – A man calling himself Frank A. Smith who claimed to be from Gordonsville is arrested for being drunk and disorderly. This person was also investigated for potentially being a man who tried to sell a horse at Benson's stables on Main Street.
- 1923 – University of Virginia President Edwin A. Alderman announces new faculty at Board of Visitors' meeting.
- 1940 – Charlottesville Police Chief Maurice F. Greaver makes clear that the city's 7:30 p.m. curfew for children under the age of 15 will be strictly enforced.
- 1954 – Hurricane Hazel comes through Albemarle County and Charlottesville and drops six inches of rain in the city.
- 2018 – Charlottesville City Council approved $65,000 for the Food Equity Initiative.
- 2019 – Ground is broken for new eight-story building on Garrett Street to serve as new headquarters for Apex Clean Energy.
