- 1860 – Paul Goodloe McIntire, later one of Charlottesville’s greatest benefactors, was born on High Street. His philanthropy would shape the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle County, and the University of Virginia.
- 2017 – A Decoration Day ceremony was held at the Daughters of Zion Cemetery, the historic African American burial ground established in 1873 by the Daughters of Zion Society.
- 2024 – The City of Charlottesville marked completion of the new Belmont Bridge with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Mayor Juandiego Wade, City Manager Sam Sanders, and Public Works Director Steven Hicks.
