- 1900 – House of Delegates J. H. Lindsay and W. H. Boaz represented Albemarle County and the City of Charlottesville at the Virginia Constitutional Convention, 1901-1902.
- 1924 – One of the most sensational cases involving a seizure of liquor that had yet happened in the city, since the Mapp law went into effect, occurred at the home of Mr. Jack Davis, on Albemarle Street, Rose Hill, about 7:20 this Saturday evening.
