August 25:

• 1746 – Albemarle County Court issued a series of orders to improve local infrastructure. These included the clearing of several roads, such as one from Beard's Road to the courthouse, and another from Finley's Ferry to Samuel Stephen's plantation. Local male tithables were assigned to these tasks under various overseers.
