- 1814 – Thomas Jefferson was named a trustee of Albemarle Academy in Charlottesville.
- 1938 – The University of Virginia baseball team defeated Harvard 6-5 at Lambeth Field
- 1938 – Seventy-two children had registered for the city marble tournament which is to begin April 12th
- 1938 – President Roosevelt re-nominated John S. White to be postmaster of Charlottesville.
- 2011 – Under a five-year sponsorship, the Charlottesville Pavilion, located at the north end of the Downtown Mall, is renamed the nTelos Wireless Pavilion
- 2023 –The UVA Ambassador Program has expanded the zones it covers to include more places where students congregate, like the Downtown Mall.
