Explanation of article
In my chronology work, I see a lot of conversation about whether alcohol consumption should be permitted. I don't believe that there is one article that documents this, but I am going to create this one and maybe put it under the history portal. This may not be the best name for it but I thought I would get it started. --Seantubbs (talk) 09:19, 24 November 2022 (EST)
Interesting!
I find this topic quite interesting, I had no idea that Charlottesville when dry well before national prohibition (1920). User:Jmh6d I hope you keep adding to it if you're reading through that epic "A treatise on the Virginia prohibition act" (so long!)
- Thanks for the feedback. I look forward to rereading the (1916) "epic" - I had forgotten about it ("Cheers") Jmh6d (talk) 00:38, 7 December 2022 (EST)

- I'm learning a lot going through the archives of the Progress and I've created subjects to capture what I come across. I created one for Eugenics, and it's definitely a "stub" page. I have no doubt if I keep up this work I'll find an article about the Buck v. Bell case. There's a lot on the 1933 page about the referendums held across Virginia to repeal Prohibition. Not as much as I hope to have if we keep going! --Seantubbs (talk) 18:50, 6 December 2022 (EST)
