Stanardsville

Stanardsville is the county seat of Greene County, Virginia. The population was 476 at the 2000 census. The name is from Robert Stanard, a benefactor who donated land for public use. The town was incorporated in 1921. [1]
The current mayor is Gary Lowe[2].
