Sean M. McCord

Sean M. McCord is a Charlottesville resident who serves on a number of boards and commissions. He was also a candidate for the Charlottesville School Board in 2007.


As of 2011, McCord is employed as an information technology specialist for the University of Virginia, serving as coordinator of U.Va.'s Local Support Partners. He has an Associate of Arts degree from Ohlone Community College in Fremont, Califorinia and a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA. In late 2010, McCord was appointed by the Charlottesville City Council to serve a four-year term on the Board of Directors for the Piedmont Virginia Community College. He is also a member of the Albemarle/Charlottesville Commission on Children and Families and the Charlottesville City Parks and Recreation Board. He is also a writer and consultant for the Virginia Film Festival and volunteer producer of WNRN-FM radio's "Sunday Morning Wake-Up Call.[1].
