Robert Coles was a historical impersonator and performer, and was, notably, the fifth great-grandson of Thomas Jefferson. Coles played the role of Jefferson for many years as an impersonator, until his passing on September 17, 2013.[1] In addition, Coles is depicted in Frances Brand's "Firsts" series.
