Robert Hardie

Robert Hardie is a UVA Alumni, Co-Chairman and CEO of H7 Holdings and Level One Partners (two private investment firms),[1] the current Rector of the University of Virginia's Board of Visitors,[2] and the husband of Molly Hardie.

Recent Controversy

On March 26, 2024, a small truck covered in LED screens traversed the length of the UVA campus, displaying a message that read, "Rector Robert Hardie won't confront Antisemitism, RESIGN NOW," in reference to current events in Gaza and Israel. According to a University spokesperson, the University is working to identify to individual or organization responsible for hiring the truck.[3]

Current Events

As a result of several donations to the University of Virginia's Athletics Master Plan, the newly-constructed Football Operations Center will be named after himself and his wife, following the approval of Board of Visitors during their meeting on June 7, 2024.[4] [5]
