Robert Elliton

Robert Elliton died on July 19, 1929 after being shot five days before by Charlottesville policeman A. A. Adams. At a preliminary hearing into the shooting on August 1, 1929 Adams maintained he shot Elliton to prevent him from using a nightstick. [1]
