Ridge Street

Ridge Street is a roadway through Charlottesville, connecting Ridge-McIntire Road at its northern end to a residential neighborhood south of downtown, dead-ending in the Brookwood neighborhood.

The road gives its name to the Ridge Street neighborhood and the Ridge Street Architectural Design Control District.

Bridge

The bridge that crosses the rail-line was upgraded in the 1980's. A Ridge Street Bridge Design Committee helped oversee its design. The design resulted in the closure of Garrett Street to Ridge Street. [1]
