Archeology

Many of the buildings on the vineyard property were once used to house Irish workers who built the Blue Ridge Tunnel in the 1850s.[2] Archeologists from the University of Maryland and William and Mary investigated the site and found artifacts that supported their theory that Irish immigrants once lived in the buildings.[2]
