Phillip Seay was an independent candidate for the Jack Jouett Magisterial District seat on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors.[1] He was defeated by Diantha McKeel on November 5, 2013. [2]
Seay officially announced his candidacy on July 24th, 2013 at the Albemarle County Office Building.[3]
Charlottesville City Council appointed Seay was named to the Charlottesville Police Civilian Review Board on June 1, 2020. [4]

Background
Seay has been the director of the First Tee Charlottesville program - a youth mentoring program that builds life skills through golf - since 2006. He helped launch the program in 2002. Seay also served as a deputy sheriff for five and half years, and worked as a state juvenile probation counselor and a high and middle school teacher, administrator, and sports coach. Seay taught civics for several years at Buford Middle School.[3]
