- 1938 – Governor James H. Price addresses Charlottesville Albemarle Regional Chamber of Commerce [1]
- 1962 – Charlottesville City Council holds a special meeting to take public input on proposals to change the boundaries of the city's four voting wards, and review a five-year schedule for capital improvement programs. Projects include widening of Emmet Street, completion of new courthouse, construction of a new underpass on Preston Avenue underneath the Southern Railway, extension of Grady Avenue to Emmet Street, and an extension of McIntire Road [2]
- 1976 – Charlottesville City Council hold a public hearing on the relocation of the Downtown Post Office and the Chair of the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority asks Council to cover $25,000 in architects for proposed scattered site housing at Michie Drive and Madison Avenue. [3]
- 1978 – Albemarle County Board of Supervisors denies a request to rezone property on U.S. 29 north for a mobile home park. [4]
- 1996 – Charlottesville City Council holds special meeting with the School Board but also takes votes on two rezonings from R-1 to Planned Unit Development [5]
- 2000 – Albemarle County Board of Supervisors vote 6-0 to approve a special use permit for the Monticello Fire/Rescue Station on Mill Creek Road. [6]
- 2000 – Several dozen people speak at public hearing at Albemarle County Board of Supervisors on expanding the county's historic preservation ordinance. [7]
- 2014 – The remains of Hannah Graham are found on property in Albemarle County near Walnut Creek Park [8]
- 2018 – Albemarle County School Board member David Oberg makes a plea for the School Board to ban the wearing of Confederate imagery [9]
- 2023 – The University of Virginia purchases Oak Lawn estate for $3.5 million for future use by the medical system. [10]
