- 1957 – Albemarle Board of Supervisors learns staff is preparing a retirement plan for county employees that they will review in the near future. At this time, Albemarle has 39 full-time non-school employees. [1]
- 1957 – The Parent-Teacher Association for Lane High School take a vote of confidence in students, faculty, and staff after "rumors derogatory to the school." [2]
- 2019 – Albemarle County Board of Supervisors adopts goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 45% by 2030 and to be “net zero” by 2050 [3]
