- 1957 – Charlottesville School Board is shown the plans for the addition to Johnson Elementary School [1]
- 1960 – Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Lyndon B. Johnson appears in Charlottesville as part of a five-day train trip through southern states. [2]
- 1963 – Virginia Employment Commission reports an unemployment rate of 1.5 percent for the Charlottesville area, the lowest rate since 1950. [3]
- 2005 – Free Enterprise Forum holds a campaign forum between Jack Jouett candidates Dennis Rooker and Christian Schoenwald [4]
Births
- 1872 – Homer Ragland is born in Keswick to Horace and Priscilla Ragland. A janitor at the local courthouse, Ragland had his portrait photograph prominently included within the Holsinger Studio Collection.
