Music Resource Center

The Music Resource Center is a non-profit community organization dedicated to providing musical education to students after school. The center opened its doors in 1995 with funding from the Dave Matthews Band. The center is located at 105 Ridge Street, in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. [1]

The aim of the Music Resource Center is to give teenagers a collaborative space to learn and develop musical skills. The MRC reaches hundreds of teens annually, and typically has a recording studio, dance studio, internship program and a yearly fundraiser called "Party Like a Rockstar." [1]

As of 2016, Alice Fox serves as Executive Director. [2] Lester Jackson currently serves as Board Chair. [3]
