Mike Pruitt was elected to the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors in the November 2023 election. At the time he was a University of Virginia law student. He has since announced a campaign for the Democratic nomination for Virginia's Fifth Congressional District. [citation needed]

Election 2023
Pruitt announced his candidacy for the seat on November 26, 2022. This seat was contested in 2019 when Price defeated Republican Mike Hallahan with 55.2 percent of the vote. [1] [2]
