McIntire Road is a short secondary road in Charlottesville allowing north-south traffic northwest of the Downtown Mall.

Route

McIntire continues south as Ridge-McIntire Road at Preston Avenue, its southern end, and dead-ends at the U.S. Route 250 bypass and McIntire Park in the north.

The eastern side of the road is a largely residential portion of the North Downtown neighborhoood.

In addition to McIntire Park, there are two other parks at the northern end, the Charlottesville Skateboard Park and Schenk's Greenway.

South of the Greenway, the west side of the road is home to the Albemarle County Office Building and the Lane little-league baseball field.

Meadowcreek Parkway

The road's northern terminus will be significantly altered with the construction of the Meadowcreek Parkway Interchange.
