- 1934 – Daily Progress reports that the University of Virginia would not permit a speech on May 20 by Richard Moore because he was Black, and not because he was a communist. Moore had been invited so speak by members of the Free Discussion Group on the topic "The Right of Self Determination." [1]
- 1982 – Voters in Albemarle County and Charlottesville approve Revenue Sharing Agreement in referendum [2]
- 2009 – A blaze in the 1800 block of Barracks Road around 2:30pm kills two cats. A man and woman in the house escape, as does a dog.[3]
- 2015 – Harris Farm, a late 18th century farm with a 19th century structure in Albemarle County, is listed National Register of Historic Places [4]
- 2020 – University of Virginia Board of Visitors meet virtually in open and closed session [5]
