Lyttleton S. Macon was the longtime owner of the Tufton estate in Albemarle County. He died on March 13, 1915. [1]

Biography
Macon was one of 12 children of Colonel Thomas Seldon Macon and Lucy Macon. After both had died, Macon took over the operation of Tufton. He served in the Confederate Army and was once the Albemarle County sheriff.
