Lua Project
The Lua Project, also known as Luminaria Cville, is a band based in Charlottesville and the Albemarle County area [1]. The Lua Project was founded by husband and wife, Estela Díaz Knott [1] and David Berzonsky [2]. The Lua Project is supported by Virginia Humanities [2] [3]. It creates music that combines Hispanic music with other cultural and regional musical genres, such as Appalachian and Jewish tonalities, to create a unique sound [3]. It is often referred to as a “cultural pollinator” for this reason. [4]It supports the Mexilachian Son project [insert red link] [] and is currently working with the founder, Zenen Zeferino, to create an album [5] . It also supports the annual Cville Sabroso [4] festival [5].
