Lisa Robertson became City Attorney on May 3, 2021. [1] She resigned effective December 28, 2022. [2]
As the City Attorney, Robertson provided general legal counsel to the City of Charlottesville. Practice includes state and local legislative affairs, zoning and land development; real estate; public utilities; public safety; contracts and procurement; and litigation defense services.
Previously served the City government as Chief Deputy City Attorney (2013-2021) and Deputy City Attorney (1994-2006). First woman to be appointed as City Attorney in Charlottesville's history.[3]
