Karen Firehock is the Samuel Miller District member of the Albemarle County Planning Commission. She is also a former member and Chair of the Charlottesville Planning Commission and the director and co-founder of the Green Infrastructure Center.

Background
Firehock has been an adjunct professor at the University of Virginia's School of Architecture since 1999[1] and teaches graduate courses in watershed planning, green infrastructure planning, stormwater management, global health and environmental ordinances and fundraising.
