Jordan Park, is a city neighborhood park located 1607 6th Street SE, between 5th Street and Avon Street.

Located at the south end of 6th Street southeast, and borders Moore's Creek in the Ridge Street Neighborhood, the urban park land covers 3.1 acres. Acquired in 1971, Jordan Park is owned by the City of Charlottesville and is managed by the Department of Parks and Recreation.

Amenities

The park has a basketball court, playground with tot area for children ages 2 to 5 years old, grill and picnic tables. The Rivanna Trail passes through Jordan Park.

Trail Bridge

The Jordan Park Trail Bridge across Pollocks Branch will allow users of the Moores Creek trail to cross the tributary to access the trails west of Jordan Park playground and basketball courts and continue towards 5th Street. Currently the Rivanna Trails Foundation footpath crosses the creek with a rock hop.[1]

Construction begins Wednesday May 29, 2024 and is expected to take 2 months to complete. This project is funded by Community Development Block Grant Funding and costs ~$175,000. It is expected to be complete and open for public use by August 2024.
