The Housing Advisory Committee advises the Charlottesville City Council on matters of affordable housing policy. Its creation was predated by a Housing Policy Task Force set up in 2003. [1]

In November, the group discussed whether homestay and house-sharing services such as AirBnB were contributing to the city's affordable housing problem. [3]

In February the group discussed procedural reforms to help policies go from recommendation to adoption by Council. [4]
