The firm Gannett Fleming was retained in 2003 by the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority to develop a water supply plan[citation needed] and in 2006 to design the new Ragged Mountain Dam.
In 2007, the firm Gannett Fleming analyzed the Beaver Creek Reservoir and found that Crozet only had enough water through 2035. [1]
Ragged Mountain Dam
Gannett Fleming worked during 2007-2008 on the preliminary dam design and geotechnical research before the project was temporarily halted in August 2008. In September 2009 the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority replaced Gannett Fleming, retaining Schnabel Engineering Associates to prepare a preliminary design for the new dam.[2]
