Frank Morgan Huyett Sr.
Frank Morgan Huyett Sr. (April 11, 1864-January 26, 1938), also known as F. M. Huyett, was prominent in the real estate business for many years and a member of the city council.
Frank Morgan Huyett was a native of Bruceton, Frederick County, Virginia. Frank and his wife, Nannie Atwell Bowman Huyett (1869–1943, m. 1891) were the parent of six children, one son, Frank M. Huyett, Jr., and five daughters, Mary Elizabeth, Nettie, Ann, Dorothy and Nellie Neille.
On January 26, 1938, at the age of 73, Huyett died at the Martha Jefferson Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services were held from the Presbyterian Church. Interment was in the family plot in Maplewood Cemetery. Active pallbearers included Fred L. Watson and W. F. Souder.
F. M. Huyett was a member of the Charlottesville City Council in 1918. [1]
