David W. Hill won election to a second term as Nelson County sheriff in the 2019 election. [1] [2]
He was defeated by Mark E. Embry in the 2023 election. Embry received 3,387 votes to Hill's 2,992 votes, or a 53.1 percent margin. There were five write-in votes. [3]
