Charles Barnett enlisted in the Revolution for 1-1/2 years from Albemarle County, Virginia, on September 18,1780.[1]
He was sized at Chesterfield County court house about the same time: age 18, 5'5" high, yellow complexion, a farmer, born in Albemarle County. He lived in Albemarle County until 1800 according to his Revolutionary War pension application. He was a "mulatto" who enlisted in Charlottesville in the 7th Virginia Regiment. Sharod Going testified that he was with him at Chesterfield Courthouse.
