The C'ville School Food Initiative was dedicated to improving the quality of meals offered in the Charlottesville public school system. [1]. One way the group advocated that goal was to promote local agriculture. They worked with the now-defunct Local Food Hub. The now-defunct Buford Schoolyard Garden Project was an educational resource that has been used to promote both local agriculture and eating healthy. Elements of this would end up being part of Cultivate Charlottesville.
