Broadway Blueprint

The Broadway Blueprint is a $50,000 economic development planning exercise for 45-acres of land-locked property in Albemarle County by the Albemarle County Economic Development Office. The work is spurred by the county's investment in the Woolen Mills redevelopment.

  • November 20, 2019 – Albemarle Board of Supervisors are briefed on the plan [1]
  • January 9, 2024 – Albemarle Planning Commission get an update on the second phase of the study. [2]

Nearby infrastructure

All transportation routes into the area come through the city of Charlottesville. Efforts are underway to build a roughly quarter-mile sidewalk on Franklin Street using Community Development Block Grant funding.
