The Alliance of Neighborhoods (AoN) was created in 2008 in order to protect the quality of life of Charlottesville and Albemarle County neighborhoods. Any neighborhood association, homeowners' or condominium association, or individual could become a member.[1]
Members met four times a year, known as the Assembly. The members elect a board of directors, which meets nine times a year.[1]
However, the organization quickly folded and is not in operation as of November 2017
