Alexander Truatt

Alexander Truatt founded Ebenezer Baptist Church on March 25, 1892.[1] He served as pastor from 1892 to 1894.[1] He later served as pastor of the Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia from 1896 to 1913. [2]

During his time in Charlottesville, Rev. Truatt was one of the founders of the Piedmont Industrial and Land Improvement Company, a stock company created by Black entrepreneurs to aid the Black community in purchasing property and establishing wealth.[3]
