Albert S. Bolling (January 31, 1882 - February 26, 1958), served on the city council for one term (1916 - 1920) and represented Counties of Albemarle and Greene; City of Charlottesville in the General Assembly for two terms (1927 Ex. - 1928).

A former attorney in Charlottesville, he received his degrees (B.A., M.A., LL.B.) from the University of Virginia, where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega, Eli Banana and the Raven Society.

After the adoption of an amended city charter in 1916, Bolling was elected by the voters of the Fourth Ward to served on the city council’s Board of Aldermen, a seat he held until the 1920, when he was succeeded by John S. Patton.

He was born January 31, 1882, at “Castalia,” Keswick, son of the Bartlett Bolling (one of the founding members of the Belmont Land Company) and Menta Lomax Stuart Bolling, and was a veteran of World War I. Children: Susan Gordon Dabney Bolling (1920), Albert Stuart Bolling, Jr. (1922)
