Albemarle CiderWorks, located in North Garden, opened in July 2009 as one of Virginia's first two producers of hard cider.[1]
In 2010, owners Chuck and Charlotte Shelton opened up a tasting room on site.[2]
In 2020, Albemarle CiderWorks received $10,000 as part of the Albemarle County Lift Grants program to assist businesses in the wake of the COVID-19 Emergency. [3]
