The Afton Express is a commuter bus line that travels between Staunton and Charlottesville The service is operated by BRITE Transit. [1]
Service launched in September 2021 and was expanded in 2023. [2]
The service reported a 38 percent increase in ridership from February 2025 to February 2026. [3]
