209 Maury Avenue is the site of proposed development of land near the University of Virginia by Southern Development. [1] [2]
The house on the site was designed by architect Eugene Bradbury in 1911 and is listed as an Individually Protected Property. [3]
Timeline
- November 18, 2019 – City Council approves first reading of rezoning for up to 33 units.[2]
- May 2, 2022 – City Council approves a special use permit for additional residential density up to 64 units and reduced parking requirements.[4]
- November 14, 2022 – Property is purchased by the Jefferson Scholars Foundation.[5]
