Charles H. Dickinson Jr.

Charles H. Dickinson Jr. (1933-2001) was a superintendent of the Charlottesville Woolen Mills. He was appointed general manager in September 1959 when the facility reopened under a new owner, the Kent Manufacturing Company.

Biography

On March 10, 1933, Charles H. Dickinson Jr. was born in Charlottesville to Charles Hancock Dickinson and Nella Payne Dickinson. Dickinson went to work for the Woolen Mills in 1933 in their cost accounting department after getting a B.S. degree in engineering and a graduate degree in electrical engineering. He became superintendent in 1945. [1]

Dickerson died in Charlottesville on April 23, 2001 (aged 92) and was buried at Oakwood Cemetery.
