Nicholas Meriwether II
Nicholas Meriwether II (1665-1744) was a landowner significant in the early history of Albemarle County. In 1735, Meriwether secured a patent for land in what would become eastern Albemarle County.

Meriwether was born in Surry County to the first Meriwether to emigrate from England. He married Elizabeth Crawford, the daughter of a large landowner in New Kent County. One of his estates was The Farm.
