Local Climate Action Planning Process

The Local Climate Action Planning Process (LCAPP) is a joint city-county-University initiative to coordinate policies to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases emitted from government buildings.

The initiative was reaffirmed by Albemarle County in September 2017. [1]

Localities and entities

Albemarle County

On January 1, 2021, Albemarle County entered into a partnership with Local Energy Alliance Program and Albemarle Housing Improvement Program where the county would fund $250,000 in retrofits for existing county homes to increase energy efficiency. This is a program that came out of Albemarle's Climate Action Plan. [6]
