Llezelle A. Dugger

Llezelle Dugger is Charlottesville’s Clerk of the Court. Dugger, a Democrat, has been in the position since 2012. She previously served as an Assistant Public Defender for the City of Charlottesville & Albemarle County, and as a member of the Charlottesville School Board.[1]

2019 election for Charlottesville Clerk of Court

Incumbent Llezelle Dugger (D) won re-election. The Office of Clerk of the Circuit Court is an elected office serving an 8-year term.

2011 election for Charlottesville Clerk of Court

Dugger was elected as the Democratic candidate to be Charlottesville Clerk of Court in the November 8, 2011 general election.[2] She won 62% of ballots cast in the August 20 Democratic firehouse primary.[2]

Dugger was a member of the Charlottesville School Board[1] and was elected as the Democratic candidate to be Charlottesville Clerk of Court in the November 8, 2011 general election.[2]

Biography

Dugger works as an assistant public defender.[1] She served as the Vice Chair of the Charlottesville City School Board.

Community Involvement

Llezelle A. Dugger serves on the Legal Aid Justice Center Board, the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society Board, and the Charlottesville Albemarle Drug Court Board.[4]
